Android-based WOW! tv+ video service reaches nearly 95% of WOW!'s subscribers

WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone (NYSE: WOW) says it is now in position to offer its popular Android TV-based WOW! tv+ service to nearly 95% of homes in its footprint. The MSO says that “thousands” of customers have signed up for the service.

WOW1 tv+ made its debut this past March in Columbus, OH (see "WOW! launches IP-based video service in Columbus, OH"). The digital WOW! tv+ services offers traditional TV viewing as well as cloud DVR, voice control, music, and access to hundreds of apps, and games. The feature set includes voice remote with Google Assistant, Netflix integration, access to dozens of streaming services and apps through the Google Play Store with no change of input required. WOW! tv+ also has become available via Amazon's Fire

WOW! tv+ is currently available in the following markets:

  • Auburn, Huntsville and Montgomery, Alabama
  • Augusta, Columbus and Fort Gordon, Georgia
  • Charleston, South Carolina
  • Chicago, Illinois
  • Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio
  • Evansville, Indiana
  • Knoxville, Tennessee
  • Mid-Michigan and Southeast Michigan
  • Pinellas and Panama City, Florida
