The Ultra HD Forum is releasing the initial findings from its new UHD Service Tracker. Now tracking 150 commercial consumer-facing UltraHD TV services worldwide, the online resource collates information from 3 billion subscriptions worldwide. Some 300 million of those have access to UltraHD video.

The Forum's latest data indicates that three-quarters of the world's UltraHD services are predominantly linear, serving more than 125 million viewers. The other quarter of VOD-based UltraHD services serve 180 million viewers. According to the Forum, half of all the UltraHD services now offer HDR, while almost a quarter include some form of Next Generation Audio. The UHD Service Tracker is available at https://ultrahdforum.org/uhd-service-tracker/. Ultra HD Forum members have access to a large volume of additional data.

The organization has also released V2.3 of its Guidelines for providing UltraHD service.
