Atlantic Broadband is now providing video services to 14,000 residents in nearly 8,000 homes in the gated retirement community of Century Village in West Palm Beach, FL, through an exclusive agreement.
Atlantic Broadband and United Civic Organization (UCO), which manages the property, entered into the bulk-billing agreement two years ago. Since that time, Atlantic Broadband designed, constructed and installed a fiber-based network to serve the property and activated services in individual units throughout the spring.
"We are pleased to bring popular broadcast and cable channels to residents of Century Village, including an array of premium services with commercial-free movie hits and specials, along with the convenience of high-definition DVR service for time-shifted viewing," said Danny Jobe, vice president of system operations for Atlantic Broadband. "We are not only committed to bringing residents the best in video entertainment, but also the highest level of care and support for a superior customer experience."
Through the agreement, Century Village residents will receive Atlantic Broadband's Value and More TV programming, HD DVR service, as well as premium channels. The cost of the video services, along with other amenities, is included in residents' monthly Century Village maintenance fee.
Residents will also have the option to subscribe individually to Atlantic Broadband Internet (with downstream speeds up to 1 Gbps) and phone services, with unlimited calling in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Three in-house TV channels for use by UCO will be inserted into the video lineup for the Century Village community. Atlantic Broadband will also offer courtesy Internet service in designated pool areas and other common area locations.
A dedicated Community Account Manager has been provided by Atlantic Broadband for Century Village, and Atlantic Broadband representatives will be on-site to ensure that residents have access to information related to their services. Later this year, Atlantic Broadband also plans to open a new 3,000 square foot center at Pine Trail Square Plaza on North Military Trail, to serve Century Village and the wider community in West Palm Beach.
"Atlantic Broadband brings our residents the most advanced services available today, backed with professional customer care and technical support that is not just locally based, but knowledgeable and responsive to the needs of our residents," said David B. Israel, president of United Civic Organization. "We look forward to working with the Atlantic Broadband team to bring services of real value to Century Village in the months and years ahead that will make a difference in the daily life of our residents."
The Century Village project follows Atlantic Broadband's activation last year of almost 1,000 homes in the community of Cypress Lakes, in West Palm Beach.
