Technetix DBx Universal Access Platform

Sept. 26, 2017

Technetix says the modularity of the DBx Universal Access Platform enables MSOs to tailor their network based on their requirements for output levels, different gain modules for short and long cable lengths, pluggable diplex filters and monitoring capabilities through either FSK or DOCSIS 3.0 transponders.

When upgrading to fiber deeper, MSOs can exchange modules rather than exchange an entire amplifier with a node, which enables network upgrades in minutes rather than hours, the company says. Full electronic controls of the levels keep installation and upgrade time to a minimum. The ability to configure the hybrid to low or high power enables MSOs to save another 2 W of power consumption when operators do not need to drive maximum levels, Technetix adds.
