TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO) has upgraded its TiVo Roamio OTA DVR. Starting May 2, the Roamio OTA will feature a 1TB hard drive and carry no requirement for an on-going monthly subscription fee.

The four-tuner DVR, which will retail for $399.99, will come standard with features such as SkipMode, which gives users the ability to skip commercial breaks of recorded shows with the press of a button, and QuickMode, which allows users to watch their recordings 30% faster with pitch-corrected audio. It's designed to access and record over-the-air broadcast video content via an HD antenna as well as OTT video services such as Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), Hulu, Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Prime Instant Video and YouTube.
