Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) IntelligentHome customers can now purchase smart devices such as smart door locks, smart light bulbs and smart in-wall light switches from BestBuy.com and add them to their TWC IntelligentHome system. The devices can be self-installed and integrate with TWC's smart home platform. Using the IntelligentHome touchscreen, customers can follow the pairing instructions included with the device to wirelessly connect it to the IntelligentHome system.

TWC has also simplified its IntelligentHome packages and pricing to four packages: Security; Security & Energy; Security & Video View; and Security, Video View & Energy. Customers also may add a variety of a la carte equipment options, such as additional sensors, cameras, lights and other safety devices.
