According to Parks Associates, ownership and usage of connected devices is growing among U.S. broadband households. The research house says 26% of U.S. broadband households own a streaming media device, and 16% own a smart home device. Some 34% own a smart TV, and the average household spends more than $6 per month on subscription Internet video services.

Parks expects the numbers to grow, with 37% of U.S. broadband households intending to buy one or more smart devices in 2015.
