At IBC in Amsterdam, ContentWise will unveil the latest version of its user experience solution. The new version, ContentWise 5, has been developed to support more personalized video experiences on any screen. New features include predictive browsing, personalized genres and an updated UX Engine.
Predictive Browsing is designed to analyze what, when and where each user is watching to determine the content duration, type, structure and genre that best fits the discovery style and intent of each user. Personalized Genres are designed to identify narrow interests and biases of each user and automatically generate pseudo-genres with titles that stimulate user's curiosity. ContentWise Knowledge Factory is designed to offer a set of metadata handling tools, a workflow manager and semantic algorithms to maximize the value of data sources.
The ContentWise UX Engine has been updated to give operators more control over personalized UI elements without changes to client code. A new web-based control panel provides visual editorial tools designed to enable simultaneous reconfiguration of UI elements and front-end behaviors across set-top-boxes, web, iOS and Android.
