At the 2014 CableLabs Summer Conference Aug. 3-6 in Keystone, CO, Espial (TSX:ESP) will run a TV user experience demonstration with portals and video applications based on HTML5 and the Reference Design Kit (RDK).

The demo will feature several user experience portals, custom sports apps, as well as access to HTML5 Web apps such as YouTube. Leveraging the Espial STB Client and Application Framework, the user experience will demonstrate video apps - including guide, VOD and favorites - on multiple set-top box platforms.
