At the Cable Show in Los Angeles, Liberty Global (NASDAQ:LBTYA) subsidiary Liberty Puerto Rico and ActiveVideo Networks will showcase a social TV navigation tool, with the launch of a cloud-based HTML5 user interface that uses real-time viewing metrics to display program popularity.

The tool, named Social Content Navigator, is intended to deliver a video-rich mosaic to existing set-top boxes to enable content discovery based on what is trending across communities and in areas of personal interest. It's also designed to simultaneously display on a single screen up to eight different live video channels.

Rollout has begun in Liberty's Puerto Rico system, with availability to all of Liberty's 250,000 subscribers in Puerto Rico anticipated by the end of 2014.
