    ABOX42 has announced the availability of its third generation IPTV Smart STB Solution. The new software for the ABOX42 M-Series Smart STBs is intended to allow operators, middleware developers and system integrators to built the GUI in HTML, include both IPTV and OTT channels, integrate third-party SmartTV apps and base their services on HTML-based multiscreen middleware.

    The solution features a browser based HTML5 user interface, support of unicast channels, cardless CAS and DRM, network time shift and PVR support, interactive EPG, support for third-party VOD services, and is upgradable to ABOX42's OTT DVB solution.
