TiVo Adds Opera HTML5 SDK

Opera Software (OSEBX:OPERA) and TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO) announced a technology integration to enhance web technologies on TiVo devices with the Opera Devices software development kit (SDK), as well as allow HTML5 TV apps through the Opera TV Store. The Opera SDK will be available on TiVo devices based on the Roamio platform.The partnership is intended to enable TiVo to bring web and HTML5 content to cable operator customers and consumers, as well as provide developers with an SDK to create new apps for the TiVo platform for the App Store that TiVo is planning to launch later this year.
