Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) announced the launch of its X1 Platform from Xfinity in the Richmond, VA, area. X1 integrates video with social media features, interactive apps and web content, and features gesture and voice control. X1 is currently available in more than half of Comcast's footprint and scheduled to launch in all remaining markets by the end of the year.
