TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO) says it has surpassed 4 million international subscriptions through its traditional DVR offering. The company says its international growth is the result of accelerated video subscription growth in Europe through customers such as Virgin Media/Liberty Global in the United Kingdom, ONO/Vodafone in Spain, and Com Hem in Sweden, each respectively the largest cable company in their country.
TiVo has relationships with more than 70 operators in 25+ countries through its traditional TiVo offering as well as its Cubiware and Digitalsmiths products, for a combined global footprint of close to 90 million households. More than half of the deployments are outside North America.
