Videotron Gets Interactive with Alticast

Alticast has been the primary supplier and developer of applications and the user experiences for Videotron's new interactive TV solution, illico TV new generation, and is the primary integrator for Videotron on the project.Based on Alticast's open-standards-based tru2way software, the solution is designed to provide Videotron subscribers with applications including DVR functionality, VOD, EPG, PPV, Caller ID, weather and the ability for subscribers to choose their own entertainment packages. The platform is also designed to accommodate additional capabilities as they become available and to add additional set-top box manufacturers and applications from various developers.
