SeaChange International and Avail-TVN unveiled an integrated multi-screen managed video service designed to provide video operators with a low-risk, fast to market multi-device video offering. The service combines SeaChange's Express multi-screen cloud-based service offering with Avail-TVN's content licensing, asset management and delivery, so video operators can add PC, tablet or mobile device streaming, including Apple and Android, to existing TV services within a few weeks.Solution components include:

  • SeaChange Adrenalin Multi-Screen Back Office Software

  • Linear and VOD content offerings from Avail-TVN

  • Pre-integration with existing SeaChange products

  • Operator-branded PC, tablet and mobile user interfaces, based on the SeaChange Personal Experience Multi-Screen User Interface Software

  • Pre-integrated DRM options

  • Multi-format streaming support

  • Avail-TVN's encoding, metadata management, content management and distribution services

In other SeaChange news, the company announced its next generation Remote Storage DVR (RS-DVR) network solution, designed to reduce video operators' capex and simplify multi-room DVR service. The solution is intended to cost roughly 20 percent of the typical cost incurred to equip and maintain a set-top box DVR subscriber. It's available today for existing SeaChange Axiom VOD back office installations with deployed set-top box technologies and for the Adrenalin multi-screen back office with current and next-generation clients, including the new multi-screen client SeaChange Nitro.
