The patented HDMI Display Tester enables the installer to both certify the system and cabling at the time of installation, even if there is no customer TV present. Technicians can use the device to perform a 19-pin continuity check that is graphically displayed on the HDMI Display Tester to confirm that the cable is 100% functional. Technician can connect the set-top box via a HDMI 1.3/1.4/2.0 cable to the tester to show full 1080p audio/video, confirm the STB is fully operational and browse all channels needed to verify the channel lineup. This functionality gives both the customer and installation technician a "certifiable" installation that can be closed and completed when the technician leaves the job site.
