EXFO 740C xWDM OTDR

Sept. 26, 2017

EXFO's WDM tester kit (TK1-V2-WDM) tunable OTDR for testing through mux/demux channels includes a FTB-740C-CWDM module to cover all 18 CWDM channels all-in-one and a FTB-740C-DWC module to cover DWDM channels.

It is designed for in-service testing of active networks and has what EXFO says is the highest resolution and shortest dead zones in the industry. The unit can be used for commercial services in fiber-to-the building (FTTB)/fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) and cellular-backhaul deployments that are evolving and migrating from coarse wavelength-division multiplexing (CWDM) to DWDM metro Ethernet links. With this unit, MSOs and contractors always have the required CWDM wavelength to characterize through mux/demux to provide complete end-to-end link characterization or troubleshooting for commercial services, EXFO says.
