Accedian says SkyLIGHT is the first fully virtualized network performance assurance platform, leveraging network functions virtualization (NFV) to extend advanced monitoring capabilities across the entire network.

Cable operators can use SkyLIGHT to obtain the network performance insight needed to gain complete control and provide the best possible user experience, the company says. SkyLIGHT achieves total coverage by using the network itself as part of its virtualized instrumentation architecture, centrally controlled by an open, programmable platform. A nervous system for networks, SkyLIGHT streams actionable intelligence to big data analytics, reporting and control systems - essential to achieving peak performance in complex, large-scale networks. It extends beyond monitoring to directly deliver, enforce and optimize quality of service from end-to-end, Accedian says.
