At IBC2017 in Amsterdam, Torque Video Systems introduced DVMon QAM, the latest in its DVMon monitoring line.
Designed to support all three J.83 technical standards, the DVMon QAM provides integrated RF and MPEG-TS quality of service (QoS) monitoring. It has two RF inputs with built-in demodulation and RF signal analysis, as well as two independent ASI output ports for monitoring.
Danny Wilson, founder and CEO of Torque Video Systems said: "We've been working closely with a major national cable operator on a specific QoS/QoE monitoring platform. It incorporates the full spectrum of RF transport stream and content KPIs. The DVMon QAM, launched here at IBC, is the first chapter of this comprehensive technology development program."
The DVMon QAM is designed to provide RF signal analysis of performance parameters including MER, signal noise and I/Q constellation. The embedded transport stream monitoring function includes TR101-290, bit rate analysis and service level monitoring for video/audio freeze, blackout, tone and silence.
