The new OneExpert platform is maintenance technician focused and enables sweeping with a fast and simplified process for testing and documentation, Viavi says. The feature set is scalable and empowers what the company refers to as the "universal technician" with RF network performance analysis, DOCSIS 3.1 service testing, WiFi analysis, fiber power measurement and fiber inspection scope, for 1 Gbps and beyond.

The sweep frequency range has been extended to 1,200 MHz forward and 204 MHz reverse. The Sweep Control Unit is 1RU with 16 switchable return sweep ports. Less combining is required, therefore, which leads to improved noise performance. Consolidating sweep receivers also reduces cost. The unit can be configured remotely or locally, and the interface can be accessed via Ethernet/Internet/Intranet and browser. Additionally, StrataSync data management provides sweep reports with the same user interface, flexibility and capability for new and legacy sweep gear.
