The Smart Channel Wizard dashboard is a new addition to the WiFi Advisor. It helps technicians optimize customer WiFi by guiding them through a list of KPIs, including WiFi network and channel health (channel and width, 802.11 standard, RSSI-signal strength, channel utilization, max PHY rate, noise, channel score, signal-to-noise ratio, and security type) and WiFi interference. They can then identify the ideal location for the WiFi access point, resolve congestion issues, ensure good signal strength and coverage and reduce interference by other WiFi networks and non-WiFi interferers.

The WiFi Advisor also automatically recommends the optimal channel and prioritizes the customer's devices to optimize speeds and QoE. And it can be used to isolate slow, low priority devices onto a separate network or band from high priority devices and applications, like video.

Additionally, one judge pointed out that the unit can send an email to customers with findings that help them understand WiFi capabilities in their home. "It is probably the best of its type of test equipment," the judge said.
