Anagran announced the deployment of its FR-1000 Internet traffic manager by Solid Broadband, operator of My|Destiny Cable and Global Destiny cable TV services. Designed to improve operators' network utilization, deliver tiered subscriber solutions and improve QoE, Anagran's FR-1000 is an Internet traffic manager (ITM) intended to allow service providers to reduce the cost of network capacity and increase usable bandwidth. It leverages Anagran's IP Flow State (IFS) technologies including flow classification, control, prioritization, delivery and management, as well as host (subscriber/user) equalization and behavioral recognition algorithms. It can also be used to mitigate the bandwidth consumed by aggressive peer-to-peer file sharing applications.
