Cheetah Technologies has released V-Factor 2.6 for its Source Monitor product family for video performance monitoring. The 2.6 release is designed to provide a statistically relevant mean opinion score (MOS) grade for video streams.It examines network, packet, transport, video coding layer and the digital video stream to determine the quality and MOS grade -- based on blockiness, blurriness and jerkiness -- and adds metrics such as colorfulness and audio loudness.
