TiVo (NASDAQ: TIVO) announced that its Fan TV white label video platform for service providers will include new personalization and discovery features across multiple screens. Additionally, Fan TV will now be available on Apple TV and Roku.
The updated version of Fan TV will integrate personalized, contextual recommendations, as well as introduce a smart grid guide. It's designed to learn from user activity to guide discovery and provide recommendations across live, VOD and OTT networks. The new smart grid guide delivers visual cues to alert users when programs on their WatchList show up in the broadcast schedule.
Fan TV is intended to allow operators to leverage existing video delivery networks, including QAM, satellite or over-the-air, for linear video delivery. It aggregates IP-delivered OTT content and provides discovery capabilities, and is available as an end-to-end software solution or as apps for mobile and streaming devices.
