Windstream's (NASDAQ:WIN) fiber-based Kinetic video service is now available to more than 30,000 homes in Sugar Land, TX. Sugar Land is the third Kinetic market, following launches in Lincoln, NE, and Lexington, KY, in 2015. The Kinetic launch comes a week after Windstream announced gigabit Internet service in Sugar Land and three other markets.

"We continue to invest heavily in innovative technologies that allow us to offer services that meet our customers' current and future needs," said Sarah Day, president of consumer and small business for Windstream. "With the launch of Kinetic today and the announcement of 1-Gig service last week, we're offering the Sugar Land community access to an unparalleled in-home TV and Internet experience."

Based on the Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) Mediaroom platform, Kinetic features include HD channels, whole-home DVR, wireless set-top box for additional TVs, VOD and Kinetic on the Go multiscreen service.

Kinetic is available as a stand-alone service or bundled with Windstream Internet and telephone services. Rates for TV-only service start at $39.99 a month.
