According to the Diffusion Group, 14% of U.S. adult broadband users today do not use a traditional pay TV service, up from 9% in 2011. The research house says legacy pay TV subscription services have peaked and began to decline in 2011, while residential broadband penetration is expected to soon top 100 million U.S. households.
