The Espial STB Client is a middleware, applications and toolset solution that leverages the RDK platform, WebKit, CSS3, and HTML5 in order to optimize the development and deployment of TV services on set-top box platforms. The RDK is a standardized pre-integrated software layer that creates a common framework for powering set-top boxes.
Combined with HTML5 3D user interface effects, the Espial STB Client gives operators a platform for innovation and for integrating web-based applications to deliver what Espial calls a compelling STB user experience for IP video.
