According to comScore's (NASDAQ:SCOR) Video Metrix service, nearly 180 million U.S. Internet users watched 36.2 billion online content videos in January, while the number of video ad views reached 9.1 billion. Other stats from January include:


  • 83.5% of the U.S. Internet audience viewed online video.


  • The duration of the average online content video was 5.7 minutes, while the average online video ad was 0.4 minutes.


  • Video ads accounted for 20.1% of all videos viewed and 1.7% of all minutes spent viewing video online.
