G2 Media plans to launch basic cable video service over the Internet for $18.95 a month in St. Louis, MO, and the greater Washington-Baltimore Metropolitan area in April. The service is expected to provide 50 channels, including CNN, TBS and the Cartoon Network. G2 customers plug their existing Internet connection into a set-top box and connect the box to the TV set.
