Indian cable operator Thamizhaga Cable TV Communication (TCCL) has selected the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS) architecture to provide cardless revenue security for its new digital cable TV service. TCCL plans to digitize the entire state of Tamil Nadu in the next 12 months.TCCL's new digital cable service offers 500 digital channels, 200 pay TV channels and 24 HD channels. Internet, IPTV, VOD, online shopping and gaming services are expected to be added in the future.
