Broadcom (NASDAQ:BRCM) is enabling Cryptography Research (CRI) differential power analysis (DPA) countermeasures across its line of set-top box (STB) platforms. CRI technology is designed to enable video providers to securely expand services and premium content delivery methods for multiscreen and Internet-based TV experiences. DPA attacks extract secret keys by analyzing measurements in the power consumption of a target device.
