Wowza Upgrades Streaming Software

At Streaming Media East 2012, Wowza Media Systems will preview the latest version of its Media Server 3, coupled with new AddOns designed to transform the software from a media server into a streaming media platform.Wowza Media Server 3.1 is the next generation of Wowza's software platform for multiscreen media delivery. The software is designed for coverage for Flash- and Silverlight-capable computers, tablets, phones, set-top boxes, media players, and game consoles; Apple iPhone/iPad and other HLS-capable devices such as Apple TV with AirPlay; Android devices; Roku media players; and Internet-connected TVs.It also offers a variety of AddOn components,
including Wowza Transcoder, Wowza Transcoder AddOn Audio-Only Option, dynamic transcoder overlays, Wowza nDVR, and Wowza DRM.
