    thePlatform, a white-label video publishing company, has promoted Michael Horwitz, formerly vice president of engineering, to senior vice president of engineering.Horwitz will add development operations to his existing responsibilities for the company's core product development, testing and deployment, and operational business intelligence, including capacity planning and metrics monitoring. Before joining thePlatform, Horwitz held several senior-level engineering positions at Comcast.
