Vela Research has launched solutions for the capture, verification and manipulation of closed captioning and for monitoring SDI and VANC data in MPEG-2 and H.264 SD and HD content. The CineView HD Pro Blade SD and HD MPEG-2 4:2:0/4:2:2 decoder and ArgoNavis Universal SD and HD MPEG-2, H.264, VC1 and Apple ProRes decoder are system level solutions designed to decode and distribute content. The decoder products are offered with optional Closed Captioning Viewer module and SDI & VANC Monitor.The Closed Captioning Viewer is designed to show operators the 608 and 708 closed captioning residing in the user data of an MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 H.264 file, and includes frame numbers for each closed captioning line and the ability to dump text or raw user data to a file for debugging purposes.
