Time Warner Cable announced the launch of the TWCable TV app for the Apple iPad, allowing video customers to stream live linear TV to the device at no additional charge. The free feature gives Standard (Expanded Basic) and higher video customers with Roadrunner or Earthlink Cable Internet service the ability to watch many channels to which they already subscribe, in HD, on their iPads anywhere within their own home. Customers can navigate on their iPads with the aid of a mini-guide within their wireless home network. Additional services, including remote control functionality, VOD viewing capability and the ability to program their DVR will be added on a continuing basis. The app is available for free download from the iTunes App Store.
