JDSU reports it is upgrading the products in its Ethernet Business and Mobile Backhaul Solution to leverage industry standards, improve operator usability and reduce CAPEX for providers. The upgrades focus on enabling Ethernet service and wireless backhaul providers to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot emerging, next-generation Ethernet services.Specific upgrades include: flow comparison and at-a-glance KPI performance through an improved workflow GUI in the NetComplete Performance Management (PM) software; faster test execution for turnup and troubleshooting from JDSU Test Access Method (TAM) enhancements; a small-scale system offering; IPv6 support across the Ethernet Assurance portfolio; improved standards compliance within the Test and Troubleshooting functionality to identify IEEE 802.1ad (QinQ/Stacked VLANs) within Ethernet flows; and ITU Y.1731 Ethernet OAM.
