This Technology SpotLink Router Support for Multiscreen Environments

Oct. 2, 2012
This Technology has made enhancements to its SpotLink Router that will allow the device to support dynamic ad insertion in multiscreen environments, including VOD, nDVR, IPTV and TV Everywhere with consistent implementation of ad inventory sharing business rules across these platforms. The ad inventory can be routed to different decision systems for different national inventory owners.
Programmers are able to use existing broadband ad servers, which already support online ad delivery to interface with MSO SCTE-130 architectures to place the ads in content delivered to multiple screens. A separate campaign management system is not needed. The broadband ad servers are connected to the necessary video platforms or distribution platforms using an abstraction layer between the ad inventory and ad decision systems. As the cable industry continues to move toward an all IP environment, This Technology says its product will help operators and programmers scale multiscreen offerings with business models that can drive revenue. As such, one Diamond Judge commented that the company is "positioned to be successful."www.thistech.comSee them at Cable-Tec EXPO, Booth 1948Return to the BTR Diamond Technology Reviews Elite.
