Cablevision Debuts WiFi Hotspot Finder

Cablevision (NYSE:CVC) announced the launch of a new iOS app that's designed to make it easy for customers to find the nearest of 35,000 Optimum WiFi hotspots.The new app, which is available as a free download in the Apple App Store, lets users carry out quick, advanced, and "Near Me" searches for indoor and outdoor hotspots. Customers can get directions to the closest Optimum WiFi hotspot from their current location in map view. Other features include the ability to save a list of favorite locations, reference a history of locations, and access help.Available to all of Cablevision's Optimum Online high-speed Internet customers at no extra charge, Optimum WiFi delivers wireless Internet access at speeds of up to 15 Mbps downstream and 4 Mbps upstream.
