FirstLight unveils upgrades to its Unified Communications platform

The enhancements aim to improve enterprise and carrier customer experiences.

On April 9, enterprise and carrier digital infrastructure services provider FirstLight unveiled the next phase of its voice, video, messaging, and collaboration tools platform Unified Communications (UC), updating features and functionality to improve the customer experience.

The enhancements include new API integrations, end-user and administrative portals, enhanced phone hardware, and more. These additions build upon FirstLight’s recent integration with Microsoft Teams.

FirstLight’s vice president of Product and Marketing, John Romagnoli, reported that the enhancements will allow the company to provide premium features and an enhanced experience while maintaining reliability and call quality.

“An increasingly mobile workforce requires a more powerful and seamless unified communication solution,” said Romagnoli in a press release. “FirstLight’s UC offering is built on our own cloud communications network, which gives our customers a strategic advantage in the market. They get reliable connectivity, crystal-clear voice, industry-leading features, local support, and complete control of the UC experience, all from a single trusted provider.”

FirstLight’s new update reflects a larger enterprise trend where integrations with popular productivity tools like Teams are becoming necessary to support hybrid and remote workforces.
