Conterra Networks serves up managed LAN service

July 18, 2023
New service leverages Fortinet’s converged solutions to address businesses’ evolving needs.

Conterra Networks has launched its Managed LAN service, which leverages Fortinet’s security networking solutions.

Managed LAN provides businesses with a local area network infrastructure that integrates advanced security measures to safeguard critical data and systems.

Fortinet's LAN Edge Solution consolidates network management into its FortiGate, leading to comprehensive security on the LAN infrastructure and simpler management on a day-to-day basis. The LAN Edge solution consolidates network management Fortinet’s FortiGate Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) that can scale to any location: remote office, branch, campus, data center, and cloud.

"Our partnership with Fortinet allows us to offer an industry-leading Managed LAN service that addresses the evolving needs of businesses,” said Michael Brady, EVP and chief revenue officer of Conterra Networks. Conterra’s timing to introduce the managed LAN service is spot on. The Managed LAN service will complement its growing suite of connectivity, cloud and security suites.

The new managed LAN service also reflects the growth of the overall managed network services market.

According to a recent Meticulous Research report, the managed network services market is forecast to reach $103.9 billion by 2030, at a CAGR of 8.1% from 2023 to 2030. The research firm said the growth of this market is driven by the increasing deployment of campus networks to accelerate service delivery, demand for managed SD-WAN services, and the rising utilization of managed network services to increase productivity.
