JDS Uniphase lowers sales guidance by 5%

23 September 2002 -- JDS Uniphase Corp has lowered its outlook for fiscal Q1/2003 sales (to end-September) by 5% from USD200-210m to USD190-200m.

23 September 2002 -- Citing continued weakness in the telecoms market and after six consecutive quarters of declining sales, the world's largest fibre-optic component supplier JDS Uniphase Corp has lowered its outlook for fiscal Q1/2003 sales (to end-September) by 5% from USD200-210m to USD190-200m.

The reduction reflects contract cancellations of USD10-20m, it says.
