July 5, 2001--LIGHTCONNECT, Inc., announced it has selected the Oracle E-Business Suite to facilitate its procurement and financial processes.

LIGHTCONNECT, Inc., announced it has selected the Oracle E-Business Suite to facilitate its procurement and financial processes. LIGHTCONNECT designs and manufactures innovative MEMS (micro electro-mechanical systems) fiber optic components for next generation, dynamically configurable optical networks.

LIGHTCONNECT purchased Oracle Purchasing, iProcurement, Financials, Internet Expenses and Financials Intelligence, which are key components of the Oracle E-Business Suite, an end-to-end suite of business applications that runs entirely on the Internet.

Impressed by the benefits of the first Oracle implementation, LIGHTCONNECT plans to implement additional Oracle E-Business Suite components including Oracle Internet Expenses, Order Management and Manufacturing.
