(Nasdaq: ORCL), a provider of software for e-business, announced that Maple Optical Systems, Inc., a privately-held company that develops multi-service optical switch products, is live on the Oracle E-Business Suite including Oracle Financials, iProcurement and Internet Expenses. Furthermore, these applications are being hosted by Oracle Business OnLine, Oracle's application service provider (ASP) offering.

With approximately 150 people at the company, Maple needed a company to run its information technology department so that it could focus on strategic corporate goals and growth as well as reap the benefits of e-business. Using Oracle's online services, Maple gets Oracle's team managing their applications environment without having to allocate additional resources.
