FTV Communications LLC, a partnership between Williams Communications Inc. (Tulsa, OK), Enron Communications Inc. (Portland, OR), and Touch America (Butte, MT), announced a dark fiber sale on its Portland-to-Los Angeles inland network route to an undisclosed, privately held telecommunications company. The value of the 20-year agreement is $29 million, in addition to the recurring revenue from providing co-location and maintenance services. The 1714-mi FTV network connecting Portland to Los Angeles is scheduled for completion and service in the second quarter of this year.
