Anritsu Corp. of Japan has announced a "globalization" of its worldwide holdings, including Anritsu Wiltron of the United States. As part of the effort, North American operations will be incorporated under the name Anritsu Co. with separate entities for research and development (R&D), manufacturing, and sales. New product development for North American requirements will be centered in the company`s Morgan Hill, CA, and Richardson, TX, facilities. Meanwhile, the new North American Measurement Group will oversee R&D, manufacturing, and divisional marketing of the corporation`s measuring instruments and devices, including optical modules. This group will comprise three divisions: Microwave Measurements, Telecommunications, and Anritsu Manufacturing. Product sales will be the responsibility of the North American Region Operation in Richardson. For the North American market, Anritsu expects the new effort will speed time to market, enable the company to more quickly address customer needs, and focus its resources more effectively.
