Asian demand drives fiber-optic fusion splicer market: ElectroniCast Consultants
Strong demand in the Asia Pacific region will drive the market for fiber-optic fusion splicers to 123,000 units in 2020, according to a new report from ElectroniCast Consultants.
"The Asia Pacific region (APAC) is the largest user of fusion splicers. The volume (quantity) of fusion splicers put into action in the Asia Pacific region is expected to almost double in 2020 versus 2015," said Stephen Montgomery, director of the Fiber Optics group at ElectroniCast Consultants.
"The People's Republic of China (PRC) is the largest user of new fusion splicing machines in the APAC region, with nearly 34,000 new units projected in 2016. Single-fiber machine-types are forecast for the fastest volume growth versus multiple-fiber types in China," Montgomery added.
"The Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer Global Market Forecast & Analysis" provides an analysis of 2015 and a 5-year forecast (2016-2020) of the use of fiber-optic fusion splice machines. The market research firm's report is available immediately.
