c-cor Electronics Inc. (State College, PA) announced the closure of its Reedsville, PA, manufacturing facility. According to Richard E. Perry, chairman and acting chief executive officer, the action was taken in order to consolidate manufacturing operations in accordance with ongoing cost-reduction initiatives designed to improve efficiency and better position c-cor in the global market. Activities at Reedsville were transferred to State College and Tipton, PA. As a result, c-cor?s workforce was reduced by approximately 145 employees.
