12 February 2003 -- Lumentis AB, Stockholm, is expanding its sales efforts in Germany by adding Dr. Jürgen Kozok as a sales manager for the region.

Previously with Fujitsu and Marconi, Kozok will utilise his sales and business development expertise in the telecommunications industry to increase sales activities and expand customer and partner relationships for Lumentis in Germany.

"Being situated in Germany, Jürgen will be instrumental in helping to penetrate the German market - a strategically important market for Lumentis," said Anders Lundberg, CEO of Lumentis.

Last year, Kozok opened a sales service and business consultancy offering sales support and turnkey solutions provided by engineering groups.

Prior to starting his consultancy, Kozok was Director of Product Sales and Solutions for Fujitsu Networks Europe where he was responsible for the sales support and marketing team. He developed the new business department for Fujitsu's portfolio of services and created a sales strategy to enter the market within one year.

"Lumentis offers an attractive metro DWDM solution from a cost and performance standpoint that is very attractive to the German mobile and telecom operators along with the enterprise market," said Kozok.

Kozok also has telecommunications experience from Marconi Communications; he was the Manager of Business Development in Germany, Austria and Switzerland where he generated the first direct and channel sales of Marconi's portfolio, extending from products to managed services, in each of these markets.
