Sales of ultra-high end routers (OC-192 capable) rose 16 percent Q/Q to $286 million according to a Dell'Oro Group report. Cisco's OC-192 product, the 12400 Series Internet Router, achieved its first full quarter of manufacturing production. Pent-up customer demand particularly for the 10 Gbps line cards propelled sales during 2Q01. Avici made significant gains in 2Q01 growing to 8 percent market share.
